Tons of hands on stuff for kids. Many native species on exhibit. The animal enclosures were in great shape with lots of growing plants. Most of the walking is flat or gently inclined and lots of it is paved too. We noted many gigantic old trees throughout the park. If you get there at the right time you can see live animal shows. A very peaceful and enjoyable day!

Visited for the first time in August 2017. Was really impressed with this place. The animal habitats were ample and preserved as their natural habitat. There were so many different fun activities for the kids to do and learn about. Very interactive center. There is also a great playground there as well. Definitely look into membership because you'll want to visit more than once

Used museum passes from our city library to save significantly on 2 of our tickets. My 2 year old loved the animals, interactive exhibits, and especially the huge outdoor playground. :-) the boardwalk walkways make it fairly easy to use a stroller for the majority of the trail, although off the boardwalks it got a little bumpy at times. Everything seems clean and well maintained. Don't miss the beautiful Kirkwood flower gardens about halfway through the walk. Overall this place is lots of fun for families with young kids!

What a fantastic nature center... this place is not only for children... adults and children both will enjoy a day here. Pack a lunch, they have a great area to picnic.

I love coming here! It's as much fun for me as it is for my daughter. They have added quite a bit more hands on activities and more animals. Definitely worth a visit and a revisit!
